When Armando Baraquiel came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Depor Alex Return fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Baraquiel couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Totoras F.C.'s goalkeeper Germán Burgos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Federico Checa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Edur in the 17th minute of the match. Germán Burgos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Baraquiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. But to his dismay, Gerardo Edur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxi Fernandez during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, Maxi Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Depor Alex Return's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
