An unexpectedly hard shot by Mor Vidlák in the 28th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Mané Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilmar Secco's late challenge caught a Vidlákov SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilmar Secco helped the player get up and apologised. Nilmar Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vidlákov SK's goalkeeper Yao Yang Peng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Rodolfo Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Edgard Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edgard Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. Goiás Esporte Clube's Nilmar Secco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Raí Linares in the 47 minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
