Spectators: 7652 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) Marin Zbuchea made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Antonis Vrazilianos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam. Helmuth Duckadam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Oblemenco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corrado Bosco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Saronida FC's Corrado Bosco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Zbuchea in the 8th minute of play. Virgil Macrea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Corrado Bosco having to make a save. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C. YKE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Minas Rodanakis was slow to take the kick. During this time Saronida FC's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markos Renieris in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmuth Duckadam saved F.C. YKE from getting behind. After 32 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Anastasios Zotalis. 34 minutes into the match, Saronida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Oblemenco came free, but Corrado Bosco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to F.C. YKE getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Marin Zbuchea hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Markos Renieris to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, F.C. YKE's Ionică Ike got a free kick in the 54th minute. Corrado Bosco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Ike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Giannis Psaridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Pavel Soare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. YKE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saronida FC the free kick. In the 64th minute, Pavel Soare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markos Renieris in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmuth Duckadam saved F.C. YKE from getting behind. If Antonis Vrazilianos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marin Zbuchea in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Corrado Bosco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Markos Renieris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmuth Duckadam was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th minute Saronida FC were awarded a corner. Minas Rodanakis went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Minas Rodanakis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Helmuth Duckadam quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markos Renieris in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, F.C. YKE's Rareș Agulescu got a free kick in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Cazimir Puișoru recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Corrado Bosco. Cazimir Puișoru showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Ionică Ike kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Anastasios Zotalis. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Saronida FC had won after a very even match.
