Corrado Bosco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Tabor in the 10th minute of the match. Victor Belmiro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Minas Rodanakis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anier Oidor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Markos Renieris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Anier Oidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Saronida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasios Zotalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute of the match Celestino Toro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Corrado Bosco skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Saronida FC's zone, Delmiro Tabor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corrado Bosco came out of the goal and Delmiro Tabor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Lorenzo's Delmiro Tabor got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

San Lorenzo's Eugenio Furman suffered a sprained foot after 50 minutes and couldn't finish the game. San Lorenzo's Ruben Gervaso was substituted for Eugenio Furman. A collision led to Saronida FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Markos Renieris hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimiros Karezis during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Belmiro to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Corrado Bosco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Delmiro Tabor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Bosco having to interfere. Delmiro Tabor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Corrado Bosco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Diego Balendin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 90 minutes into the match, Saronida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Toro came free, but Corrado Bosco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Minas Rodanakis hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The San Lorenzo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing San Lorenzo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
