Spectators: 7673 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Helmuth Duckadam made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Simos Zacharenios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saronida FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Constantin Buzea kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Simos Zacharenios charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simos Zacharenios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Simos Zacharenios. Helmuth Duckadam's late challenge caught a Saronida FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Helmuth Duckadam helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, F.C. YKE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helmuth Duckadam to maneuver through the defense. Markos Renieris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cazimir Puișoru having to interfere. When Saronida FC's Markos Renieris in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C. YKE's goalie prevented a goal. 25 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's Petre Romanescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corrado Bosco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. YKE's zone, Antonis Vrazilianos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cazimir Puișoru came out of the goal and Antonis Vrazilianos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Helmuth Duckadam got free with Corrado Bosco in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cazimir Puișoru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markos Renieris, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Cazimir Puișoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simos Zacharenios in the 37th minute of play. Cazimir Puișoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markos Renieris in the 39th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Markos Renieris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cazimir Puișoru was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avram Chiru during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to F.C. YKE getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Avram Chiru hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Markos Renieris made a kick off. Cazimir Puișoru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Minas Rodanakis in the 54th minute. Ionică Ike might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corrado Bosco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionică Ike ran back to his position shaking his head. Saronida FC's Corrado Bosco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Agulescu in the 63rd minute of play. Vladimiros Karezis kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Saronida FC's Dimitris Koubouris got a free kick in the 64th minute. Minas Rodanakis hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Saronida FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Corrado Bosco had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Edgar Oblemenco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Giannis Psaridis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saronida FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giannis Psaridis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simos Zacharenios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cazimir Puișoru having to interfere. Simos Zacharenios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markos Renieris got free with Cazimir Puișoru in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Giannis Psaridis came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Saronida FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Psaridis couldn't finish the play. Markos Renieris scored 1-3 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cazimir Puișoru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the game, F.C. YKE's Rareș Agulescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corrado Bosco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. During the 97th minute of the match Helmuth Duckadam completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Helmuth Duckadam a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 97th match minute, F.C. YKE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helmuth Duckadam to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Saronida FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than F.C. YKE.
