Torbjörn Greps short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Sílvio Zonta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ninjas FK were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after TAQUARI FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lars-Erik Jakobsson took the corner. In the 28th minute, Prophet Mohammed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Johan Ekeberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Luís Paulo França ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gösta Andreasson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ninjas FK's Torsten Kiempe got a free kick in the 38th minute. Sílvio Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Grep in the 41st minute of play. After 44 played minutes TAQUARI FC got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Freire. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torbjörn Grep made a kick off. When Valdir Peres came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the TAQUARI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdir Peres couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ninjas FK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Roger Häger hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Freire in the 64th minute of play forced Ninjas FK's goalkeeper Gösta Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zézinho Freire hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjörn Grep in the 82nd minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ninjas FK's Gösta Andreasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Ninjas FK from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute, Torbjörn Grep ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Zonta was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
