The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Breguete FC's Jefferson Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Grep in the 6th minute of play. Gösta Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Ninjas FK's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Domingues came free, but Gösta Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torbjörn Grep got free with Jefferson Souza in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Ninjas FK's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Rezende came free, but Gösta Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Breguete FC booed when Ninjas FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Klar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjörn Grep in the 39th minute of the match. Roberto Toledo hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Domingues made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Godoi in the 54th minute of play forced Ninjas FK's goalkeeper Gösta Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ninjas FK's Gösta Andreasson got control of the ball when Claudinei Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Torbjörn Grep scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jefferson Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sten Klar kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Claudinei Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Gösta Andreasson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Breguete FC. Karl-Johan Ekeberg hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes Ninjas FK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rodrigo Domingues who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Rodrigo Domingues got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gösta Andreasson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Breguete FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ninjas FK had won, even though Breguete FC had held more of the ball.
