After a defensive mix-up in El Golden Volvió!'s zone, Almir da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Costanzo came out of the goal and Almir da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franco Costanzo came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Karaboudjan's Evaristo Tolino. But to his dismay, Evaristo Tolino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Franco Costanzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Tolino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the El Golden Volvió! defense, Luizão Peixoto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Costanzo. The El Golden Volvió! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Costanzo should have stopped the shot. Aírton Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Wilton de Amaral notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of El Golden Volvió!'s Franco Costanzo. Franco Costanzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Franco Costanzo came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Karaboudjan's Luizão Peixoto. But to his dismay, Luizão Peixoto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Luizão Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karaboudjan's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizão Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Costanzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. El Golden Volvió!'s Franco Costanzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Tolino in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Evaristo Tolino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilton de Amaral to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilton de Amaral got free with Franco Costanzo in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franco Costanzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aírton Oliveira in the 53rd minute. El Golden Volvió!'s Claudio Biaggio got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franco Costanzo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Wilton de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. If Wilson Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. But to his dismay, Evaristo Tolino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Simões in the 75th minute of play forced El Golden Volvió!'s goalkeeper Franco Costanzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilton de Amaral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Franco Costanzo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Almir da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Costanzo having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Karaboudjan's Evaristo Tolino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franco Costanzo. Franco Costanzo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Franco Costanzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton de Amaral in the 87th minute. Wilton de Amaral scored 0-10 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Costanzo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
