Rafael Martino was a little too slow when Antoine Norton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Antoine Norton succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 15th playminute. Rafael Martino made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Antoine Norton sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Norton in the 25th minute of play forced Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Rafael Martino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Art Solomon in the 27th minute of play forced Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Rafael Martino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th play minute Art Solomon came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rafael Martino. 3-0. 32 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Frichoso came free, but Emanuel Bazinet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antoine Norton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Jesus Frichoso notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Emanuel Bazinet. Emanuel Bazinet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Emanuel Bazinet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Romo in the 45th minute of play. Shaun Wang charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shaun Wang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute of the match Natalio Louis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel Bazinet skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antoine Norton to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Sportivo Italiano's Natalio Louis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 52nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Emanuel Bazinet but with some difficulty. Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoine Norton in the 54th minute of play. With his leg Emanuel Bazinet managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Club Sportivo Italiano's Justo Romo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Antoine Norton got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antoine Norton charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antoine Norton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Antoine Norton got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Antoine Norton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Martino. Club Sportivo Italiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antoine Norton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Sport Lisboa e Benfica made a substitution. Dominic Hahn replaced Patrik Cane. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Lisboa e Benfica's zone, Justo Romo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Bazinet came out of the goal and Justo Romo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Antoine Norton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Martino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Norton in the 85th minute of play forced Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Rafael Martino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Hankins hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Emanuel Bazinet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Frichoso in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Sportivo Italiano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
