An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Tolino in the 6th minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Emanuel Bazinet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Bazinet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton de Amaral in the 9th minute. Emanuel Bazinet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Tolino, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Evaristo Tolino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Emanuel Bazinet made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Antoine Norton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateus Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luizão Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Bazinet having to interfere. Emanuel Bazinet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antoine Norton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Karaboudjan defense, Antoine Norton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateus Velloso. The Karaboudjan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateus Velloso should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Antoine Norton notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Karaboudjan's Mateus Velloso. Mateus Velloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilton de Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Bazinet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Emanuel Bazinet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Marquis Hopper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Wilton de Amaral made the kick off in the second half. Wilton de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Sport Lisboa e Benfica defense, Almir da Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Bazinet. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Bazinet should have stopped the shot. Mateus Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoine Norton, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Antoine Norton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mateus Velloso. Antoine Norton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. After some careless play in the Sport Lisboa e Benfica defense, Evaristo Tolino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Bazinet. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Bazinet should have stopped the shot. Karaboudjan's Mateus Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Karaboudjan from getting a goal against them. Evaristo Tolino hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Karaboudjan's Mateus Velloso got control of the ball when Antoine Norton tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Allen Deblois fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Lisboa e Benfica's protests and gave Allen Deblois a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Allen Deblois. Aírton Oliveira scored 3-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Bazinet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karaboudjan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Antoine Norton scored to the left of an out of position Mateus Velloso, making the score, 3-5. In the 91st minute, Antoine Norton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mateus Velloso. The goal made the score 3-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sport Lisboa e Benfica had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
