When Miro Klose came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC Aquile Azzurre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miro Klose couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Kristoffers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Peruzzi was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. FC Aquile Azzurre's Angelo Peruzzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FC Aquile Azzurre from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the game, Franco Catena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Aquile Azzurre's Angelo Peruzzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Aquile Azzurre from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the match, Miro Klose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bjorn Panter. The Dalwhinnie Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miro Klose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. FC Aquile Azzurre's Angelo Peruzzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralph Wilmink in the 40th minute of play. The Dalwhinnie Boys's Bjorn Panter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miro Klose in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Dave Nobile hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bjorn Panter came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Aquile Azzurre's Miro Klose. But to his dismay, Miro Klose quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miro Klose in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bjorn Panter saved The Dalwhinnie Boys from getting behind. After some careless play in the FC Aquile Azzurre defense, Klaus Bas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Peruzzi. The FC Aquile Azzurre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Peruzzi should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, The Dalwhinnie Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Klose came free, but Bjorn Panter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miro Klose's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bjorn Panter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Dalwhinnie Boys's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank Nelli was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Aquile Azzurre's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Frank Nelli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bjorn Panter quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Dalwhinnie Boys's goalkeeper Bjorn Panter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Adriano Coccia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, FC Aquile Azzurre's Miro Klose sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bjorn Panter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franco Catena kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Cosimo Rondinelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Bjorn Panter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bjorn Panter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miro Klose in the 89th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Cosimo Rondinelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Aquile Azzurre and the The Dalwhinnie Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card.
