Spectators: 7686 (Terracing: 5765, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Milton Heath kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Mel Ecker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hellmut Klasen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jim Mitchell. Santos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Finn kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Jim Mitchell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mel Ecker's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mel Ecker in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Mitchell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When SC Otten's Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santos FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Burr to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jamar Burton hit a great ball. Byron Kane kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 23 minutes of play, SC Otten's Mel Ecker made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Mitchell was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Hansjörg Görlitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamar Burton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olaf Lübke having to make a save. Mel Ecker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jim Mitchell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mel Ecker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Santos FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Otten were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt made the kick off in the second half. Lawrence Smart hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jamar Burton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Lübke having to interfere. SC Otten made a substitution. Rudi Tenhagen replaced Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt. SC Otten's Frederik Vielmann was substituted for Mirco Maier. Frederik Vielmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Jim Mitchell made a huge save. In the 64th minute of the match SC Otten got a corner. Santos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hellmuth Mönch ran over to the corner to take the kick. Frederik Vielmann was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Frederik Vielmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jim Mitchell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudi Tenhagen in the 79th minute of the match. With splendid footwork Ronnie Schilder arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-2 by the left pole in the game's 84th minute. Frederik Vielmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goalkeeper Jim Mitchell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronnie Schilder. In the 95th minute Milton Heath suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Santos FC made a substitution. Darrell Nava replaced Milton Heath. SC Otten played a much better game than Santos FC and deserved their victory. The Santos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
