Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Milton Heath to make the kick off. Jim Mitchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Gajewski in the 55th minute of play. Juventus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaiet Sobrado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Juventus FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Santos FC throughout the match.
