In the 13th match minute, Santo Amaro AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. When Diguinho Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santo Amaro AC's protests and gave Diguinho Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. Diguinho Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Eusébio Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miro Klose in the 18th minute of play. FC Aquile Azzurre's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Nelli in the 19th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Santo Amaro AC's goalie and right to Cosimo Rondinelli. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Santo Amaro AC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 24 minutes into the match, FC Aquile Azzurre's Miro Klose sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Albuquerque narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Santo Amaro AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Eusébio Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miro Klose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosimo Rondinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Santo Amaro AC got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Maia. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miro Klose got free with Eusébio Albuquerque in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The FC Aquile Azzurre players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
