In the 5th match minute, FC Aquile Azzurre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmine Gori to maneuver through the defense. FC Aquile Azzurre's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Nelli in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Frank Nelli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Francisco do Vale quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When FC Aquile Azzurre's Miro Klose in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mestre GG's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute, Chiquinho Sergipano made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Peruzzi. FC Aquile Azzurre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. FC Aquile Azzurre's Ferruccio Basile quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wilson Donato, made in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th minute, Lazaro Alzate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betinho Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Peruzzi having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, FC Aquile Azzurre's Miro Klose nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miro Klose during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miro Klose kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Wilson Donato made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Benjamim Medeiros however managed to control. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chiquinho Sergipano made a kick off. In the 58th minute Chiquinho Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Peruzzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Peruzzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquinho Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Betinho Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Peruzzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betinho Mangueira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62nd minute, Benjamim Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Peruzzi. FC Aquile Azzurre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Mestre GG's Francisco do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miro Klose in the 65th minute of play. Dé Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miro Klose in the 69th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Francisco do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miro Klose's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco do Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Miro Klose cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Francisco do Vale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cosimo Rondinelli's late challenge caught a Mestre GG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosimo Rondinelli helped the player get up and apologised. Cosimo Rondinelli hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Francisco do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miro Klose in the 87th minute of play. Angelo Peruzzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chiquinho Sergipano in the 88th minute. Miro Klose struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Francisco do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Aquile Azzurre. Wilson Donato's late challenge caught a FC Aquile Azzurre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson Donato helped the player get up and apologised. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
