Waldir Peres made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ronnie Schilder sent off a good shot on target. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dedê Vaz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Reinhold Friedl in the 10 minute of the game. Caetano Toscano struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Olaf Lübke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcellos Mineiro FC. In the 12th minute Giuseppe Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Lübke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Reinhold Friedl threw the ball into play from the sideline. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dedê Vaz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Damir Preußner in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dedê Vaz. 19 minutes into the game, Damir Preußner threw the ball into play from the sideline. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dedê Vaz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 20 minutes into the match, Chu Liang Ping had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olaf Lübke. SC Otten's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chu Liang Ping was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 24 minutes of play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Chu Liang Ping made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olaf Lübke was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute, Chu Liang Ping made a precise shot to the right of Olaf Lübke. SC Otten's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 32 played minutes Barcellos Mineiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Waka Barcellos. After a rather tough play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Fausto Queirós got a free kick in the 34th minute. The long shot by Hansjörg Görlitz in the 36th minute really tested Waldir Peres's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 39 minutes into the game, Fausto Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcellos Mineiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Otten the free kick. After 39 played minutes Barcellos Mineiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Queirós. Chu Liang Ping's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olaf Lübke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Olaf Lübke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chu Liang Ping's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Otten's zone, Chu Liang Ping stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olaf Lübke came out of the goal and Chu Liang Ping tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chu Liang Ping stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Chu Liang Ping kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Olaf Lübke. That made the score 0-4 in the 52 minute of play. SC Otten's Mirco Maier was substituted for Rudi Tenhagen. Fausto Queirós was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of SC Otten booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Mirco Maier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcellos Mineiro FC's Waldir Peres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Waldir Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronnie Schilder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hellmut Klasen hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Waldir Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mirco Maier went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hansjörg Görlitz in the 89th minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Waldir Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Mirco Maier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Otten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Waldir Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Vielmann in the 96th minute of play. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
