Rusty Little lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 43rd match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rusty Little to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Otto Bekker in the 44th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jim Mitchell's left hand side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Jamar Maxwell kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Leon Burr got a free kick in the 54th minute. Jim Mitchell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ralph Wilmink went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Benito Hyde fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC's protests and gave Benito Hyde a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 minutes of play, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Robert Gierman made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Mitchell was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st match minute, The Dalwhinnie Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corné van Gaal to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Bas came free, but Jim Mitchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Mitchell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stijn Klompe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Klaus Bas got a free kick in the 90th minute. A hard shot by Jamar Burton from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Bjorn Panter's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The Dalwhinnie Boys walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
