Spectators: 7755 (Terracing: 5818, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) Jim Mitchell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomir Gajewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juventus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raúl Labarra in the 5th minute. Raúl Labarra made a great header on Juventus FC's corner, it was just that Santos FC's Jim Mitchell managed to reach the ball for a save. Jim Mitchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Gajewski in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rusty Little to maneuver through the defense. Juventus FC's Raúl Labarra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Santos FC. Jim Mitchell made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Radomir Gajewski sent off a good shot on target. Milton Heath recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jim Mitchell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radomir Gajewski's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Radomir Gajewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Raúl Labarra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Lawrence Smart got a free kick in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Radomir Gajewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Radomir Gajewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Mitchell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mansour Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Heath in the 32nd minute of play. With his leg Jim Mitchell managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Juventus FC's Radomir Gajewski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Radomir Gajewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jim Mitchell was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, Radomir Gajewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jim Mitchell. Santos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radomir Gajewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radomir Gajewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Juventus FC's Radomir Gajewski made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Mitchell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jim Mitchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Abastas in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomir Gajewski in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jim Mitchell saved Santos FC from getting behind. Jim Mitchell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radomir Gajewski's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Radomir Gajewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Mitchell having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Radomir Gajewski put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jim Mitchell. Radomir Gajewski took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jim Mitchell. Jim Mitchell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Juventus FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
