In the 38th minute, Sebastião Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Forever Tango's Clemente Medina tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Forever Tango's Waldir Peres threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thomas Melse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Waldir Peres was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Thomas Melse capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Thomas Melse really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Thomas Melse made the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Thomas Melse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcellos Mineiro FC's Waldir Peres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albino Senin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chu Liang Ping, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Waka Barcellos fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcellos Mineiro FC's protests and gave Waka Barcellos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Forever Tango booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waka Barcellos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Forever Tango's Josef Müller was substituted for Thomas Melse. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Peli in the 67th minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Waldir Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Giuseppe Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd match minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Waldir Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Uzuri in the 79th minute of play. Forever Tango were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Barcellos Mineiro FC to leave the ground with a draw.
