Spectators: 7651 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sherwood Franks kicked off to start the match. Rudi Tenhagen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Jim Mitchell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 18th minute, Hellmut Klasen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Hyde kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Otten getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Reinhold Friedl hit a great ball. The supporters of SC Otten booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Burr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudi Tenhagen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Jim Mitchell made a huge save. Jim Mitchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronnie Schilder in the 40th minute of play. Sherwood Franks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Olaf Lübke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Hansjörg Görlitz made a precise shot to the right of Jim Mitchell. Santos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Milton Heath hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronnie Schilder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frederik Vielmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jim Mitchell having to make a save. Olaf Lübke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Finn in the 59th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Sherwood Franks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SC Otten getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ronnie Schilder hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Frederik Vielmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jim Mitchell. Santos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frederik Vielmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC Otten's zone, Milton Heath stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olaf Lübke came out of the goal and Milton Heath tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Mitchell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederik Vielmann in the 97th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the SC Otten players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
