Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Guerra in the 9th minute of play. Amadeo Rapinett came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's Ramón Guerra. But to his dismay, Ramón Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Gláuber Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's protests and gave Gláuber Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. Eusébio Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrea Xuereb in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Xuereb came free, but Eusébio Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusébio Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Zrinzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's Eusébio Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Axisa in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when Guadalupe FC - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thierry Bianchini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrea Xuereb struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Eusébio Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attard Gunners. The Attard Gunners fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Rapinett should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Attard Gunners getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Leo Tabone hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thierry Bianchini was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Andrea Xuereb got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eusébio Hoffmann was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Lawrence De Marco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eusébio Hoffmann. That made the score 2-2 in the 53 minute of play. In the 56th minute, Attard Gunners's Lawrence De Marco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eusébio Hoffmann. Eusébio Hoffmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. 61 minutes into the game, Lawrence De Marco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Eusébio Hoffmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 67 minutes into the match, Ramón Guerra notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett. Amadeo Rapinett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andrea Xuereb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Eusébio Hoffmann made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Attard Gunners's Lawrence De Marco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eusébio Hoffmann. Eusébio Hoffmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-5. A collision led to Guadalupe FC - CIMZ getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Maicon da Silva hit a great ball. Attard Gunners's Jake Debono shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eusébio Hoffmann but with some difficulty. Eusébio Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrence De Marco in the 94th minute of play. The Guadalupe FC - CIMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Attard Gunners's performance. The match ended with a win for Attard Gunners.
