The supporters of Bacardi FC booed when Spartak de Txurdi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Meneses didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liberto Merino to make the kick off. Mikolaj Grunwalski made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Steven De Kelper sent off a good shot on target. Franck Rutgeerts's late challenge caught a Spartak de Txurdi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franck Rutgeerts helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bacardi FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Franck Rutgeerts hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Liberto Merino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spartak de Txurdi's supporters rose to their feet, but Liberto Merino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arend Van Beneden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franck Rutgeerts hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes, Spartak de Txurdi's Gav Smith shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arend Van Beneden came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Bacardi FC's Raymond Verheije was substituted for Steven De Kelper. It was a penalty for Bacardi FC! The referee gave Spartak de Txurdi a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gav Smith, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bacardi FC's Arend Van Beneden. 5-2. Spartak de Txurdi's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
