Nathan Wermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Maciejewski having to interfere. A hard shot 27 in the game by Nathan Wermans from a close distance when the talented Artur Maciejewski managed to make a qualified save. Royal Knights FC's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristóvão Valle in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Oevermans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfred Oevermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Valle in the 38th minute of the match. Artur Maciejewski made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Nathan Wermans sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nathan Wermans made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Dissels's late challenge caught a Royal Knights FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Dissels helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Royal Knights FC booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Dissels didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Royal Knights FC's Hudson Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfred Oevermans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Nathan Wermans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Nathan Wermans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Maciejewski was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 64th match minute, De Kasteelheren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieter-Jan Staarman to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nathan Wermans in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Maciejewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Nathan Wermans came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the De Kasteelheren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nathan Wermans couldn't finish the play.
