Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Thomas Diehl successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Al Capone during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Al Capone got a free kick in the 17th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Burhanettin Utman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melbourne 007's supporters crossed their fingers, but Burhanettin Utman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Emil Wallgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Melbourne 007's Thomas Diehl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Malcolm Mcvey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sonny Åkesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Hermanö Oilers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Melbourne 007:s goal. Sonny Åkesson had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Burhanettin Utman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Melbourne 007's goalkeeper Thomas Diehl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilhelm Cane. In the 38th minute, Hermanö Oilers's Peter Bank ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thomas Diehl. Thomas Diehl yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, Melbourne 007's Thomas Diehl got control of the ball when Wilhelm Cane tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Mcvey in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Hermanö Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Bank to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Burhanettin Utman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match Sten Stål sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Diehl skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match, Burhanettin Utman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sonny Åkesson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thomas Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Wallgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Emil Wallgren took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Diehl. Thomas Diehl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Melbourne 007's Thomas Diehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Cane in the 70th minute of play. Burhanettin Utman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
