Gerben Raatjes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaw Wicherek in the 20th minute of play. LegionArgentina were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after De Kasteelheren's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ermegildo Jaunti took the corner. De Kasteelheren's Gerben Raatjes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Herrera in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 minutes, Gustaw Wicherek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LegionArgentina and the De Kasteelheren players grew even worse after the yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Gerben Raatjes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luc Eiting hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. György Kósa took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerben Raatjes. Gerben Raatjes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, De Kasteelheren's Luc Eiting got a free kick in the 73rd minute. De Kasteelheren's Gerben Raatjes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save De Kasteelheren from getting a goal against them. Luc Eiting's late challenge caught a LegionArgentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luc Eiting helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Luc Eiting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerben Raatjes made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when György Kósa sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, De Kasteelheren's Kevin Rolink got a free kick in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Herrera in the 92nd minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Gerben Raatjes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henk Hoebe took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saul Osoitz. Saul Osoitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. LegionArgentina were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
