An unexpectedly hard shot by 莫翀源 in the 8th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nando Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Mazorca's Generoso Nabar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save La Mazorca from getting a goal against them. Evaristo Cidro hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, La Mazorca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 莫翀源 to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Ambrosio Leguizamón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, 莫翀源 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Generoso Nabar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho Secco in the 27th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Independente FC got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Duarte. Raí Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Generoso Nabar made a huge save. Nilson Duartes short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Generoso Nabar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 39th minute, Joaquim Eanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes Independente FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nicanor Peyo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Nicanor Peyo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nando Sena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of La Mazorca booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 莫翀源 was the one to do the kick off. La Mazorca's Dario Pelagius got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Edinho Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Independente FC's Edinho Secco got a free kick in the 74th minute. 莫翀源 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. La Mazorca's Generoso Nabar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Duarte in the 77th minute of play. Carlos Fernando de Toledo made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by La Mazorca's Lucas Feo. The audience thought a goal was coming when 莫翀源 got free with Nando Sena in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 莫翀源 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Nando Sena made a huge save. Generoso Nabar came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Independente FC's Luiz Marquez. But to his dismay, Luiz Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Independente FC had won after a very even match.
