Aro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Aro FC's Lars Hjälm got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Grütly got a corner. Aro FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaston Edur ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sune Svartengren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidro Gregory read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The Aro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Hedkvist should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Grütly booed when Aro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sune Svartengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Adan Tabor sped through Aro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christopher Hedkvist. Christopher Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Edur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christopher Hedkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Polo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 96 minutes Aro FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaston Edur who took care of the corner kick. Grütly's Gaston Edur was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christopher Hedkvist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Grütly walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
