Isidro Gregory made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some careless play in the Grütly defense, Severo Checa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Gregory. The Grütly fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Gregory should have stopped the shot. Angelo Quico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Odon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Quico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Tabor in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Ramone in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Quico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isidro Gregory showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Fidele, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Eusebio Ur reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isidro Gregory. The goal made the score 3-0. Celtic FC's Angelo Quico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Odon in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Polo came free, but Angelo Quico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grütly's Abel Polo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidro Gregory showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Fidele, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Celtic FC got a corner. Grütly's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jesus Jon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Isidro Gregory showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Fidele, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Odon came free, but Angelo Quico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Bernardino Odon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Quico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severo Checa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Isidro Gregory made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Checa was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Grütly's Uriel Lizar got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Jesus Jon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isidro Gregory. Grütly's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Celtic FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Armando Fidele hit a great ball. If Armando Fidele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Celtic FC's Jesus Jon got a free kick in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Celtic FC's zone, Gaston Edur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Quico came out of the goal and Gaston Edur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Celtic FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Paolo Ekialde hit a great ball. Angelo Quico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Polo in the 71st minute of play. Celtic FC's Angelo Quico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Polo in the 71st minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Bernardino Odon notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Celtic FC's Angelo Quico. Angelo Quico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Grütly's Abel Polo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Angelo Quico. That made the score 3-3 after 80 minutes of play. 84 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Polo came free, but Angelo Quico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grütly were furious when Mario Ramone was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grütly fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Isidro Gregory had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Jesus Jon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Jesus Jon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Gregory. Grütly's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesus Jon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3.
