Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Rogelio Gombal started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Celtic FC's Angelo Quico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Gombal in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Gombal in the 8th minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Angelo Quico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celtic FC's Armando Fidele got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Primitivo Domenec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Quico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Gombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Raul Santxol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Ur in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Niceto Naldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celtic FC and the AZURDUY F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Celtic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Naldo to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, AZURDUY F.C.'s Angelo Quico threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rogelio Gombal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Severo Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Celtic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Vellito to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Eriberto Shantala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AZURDUY F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celtic FC the free kick. Armando Fidele struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Raul Santxol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celtic FC. Amador Hitzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Gombal in the 38th minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Angelo Quico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AZURDUY F.C.'s Arsenio Llorenc got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Alonzo Ortzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Severo Checa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Santxol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Chuan in the 51st minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Angelo Quico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Urbano Beliran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Severo Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celtic FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Checa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severo Checa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Fidele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Santxol having to interfere. After some careless play in the Celtic FC defense, Rogelio Gombal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Quico. The Celtic FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Quico should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Celtic FC booed when AZURDUY F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Domenec didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Severo Checa. Cipriano Chuan struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Angelo Quico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AZURDUY F.C.. Armando Fidele hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Celtic FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AZURDUY F.C..
