The supporters of American Airlines booed when Husaria Tarnów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcin Lamczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes, Jonah Ryan made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Husaria Tarnów's Petrus Szczęsny tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Lech Czaplicki put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dale Skinner. When Gilberto Gorka fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Husaria Tarnów's protests and gave Gilberto Gorka a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Jonah Ryan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petrus Szczęsny was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Aleksander Penczkowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dale Skinner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. But to his dismay, Jonah Ryan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. American Airlines's Alexis Couch got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dale Skinner was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aleksander Penczkowski. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petrus Szczęsny prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Alexis Couch sped through Husaria Tarnów's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Petrus Szczęsny. Husaria Tarnów's Hieronim Dankowski was substituted for Lech Walaszkiewicz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Couch in the 91st minute of play forced Husaria Tarnów's goalkeeper Petrus Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexis Couch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The American Airlines fans cheered their team off the field, for while Husaria Tarnów had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
