Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Gavino Guifre made the kick off and thus started the match. After some careless play in the Sydney FC defense, Gavino Guifre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rasmus Gölz. The Sydney FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rasmus Gölz should have stopped the shot. Dávid Kárpáti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakov Stähr, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Dávid Kárpáti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kees Plappert in the 12th minute. Jakov Stähr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dávid Kárpáti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Sydney FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kai Petermann in the 17th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cuervos Galácticos's goalie and right to Henrik Reifer. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cuervos Galácticos's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Per Schäfer hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cuervos Galácticos getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gavino Guifre hit a great ball. Adnan Tilner kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavino Guifre in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rasmus Gölz saved Sydney FC from getting behind. Rasmus Gölz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Guifre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Gavino Guifre put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rasmus Gölz. Cuervos Galácticos's Emilio Frasquito couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sydney FC. Sydney FC's Pierre Möhn was substituted for Kees Plappert. Dávid Kárpáti was a little too slow when Per Schäfer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Guillermo Manex's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rasmus Gölz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Paul in the 58th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Rasmus Gölz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dávid Kárpáti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jakov Stähr went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Rasmus Gölz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Jusepe, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Sydney FC's Rasmus Gölz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Paul in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, Sydney FC's Rasmus Gölz got control of the ball when Emilio Frasquito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gavino Guifre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when Cuervos Galácticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Pello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dávid Kárpáti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per Schäfer went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Cuervos Galácticos's Dávid Kárpáti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakov Stähr in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Emilio Frasquito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasmus Gölz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dávid Kárpáti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakov Stähr in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Alonso Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kai Petermann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dávid Kárpáti. Cuervos Galácticos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Gavino Guifre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rasmus Gölz. Sydney FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gavino Guifre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
