Despidida AFC's Baldomero Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ersan Özgenalp in the 7th minute of play. Ferhat Kaya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Asteri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eralp Köksan in the 15th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Baldomero Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferhat Kaya came free, but Baldomero Asteri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atila Edu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Ferhat Kaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Baldomero Asteri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Gringo Atila fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Despidida AFC's protests and gave Gringo Atila a yellow card for diving instead. Gringo Atila hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute Hakan Kaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Büyükçekmece FC. fully deserved thier win.
