After 4 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Per Schäfer. In the 7th minute, Jakov Stähr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute of the game Kai Petermann made a throw-in which Per Schäfer played forward. Rasmus Gölz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Stark in the 10th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match, Arnold Stark tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rasmus Gölz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 21st minute, Erich Egger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kai Petermann made in the 23rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Per Schäfer however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Stark in the 26th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Rasmus Gölz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Sydney FC made a substitution. Hippolyt Esche replaced Harald Inger. The wind increased when Jakov Stähr made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnold Stark in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rasmus Gölz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Viklund made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Thorben Rittmann sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when Elmtaryd Agunnaryd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Lindström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kai Petermann to maneuver through the defense. Rasmus Gölz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Stark in the 74th minute of the match. Rasmus Gölz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnold Stark, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Arnold Stark took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rasmus Gölz. Rasmus Gölz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Daniel Viklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakov Stähr in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute Jakov Stähr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Viklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ettah Kaká to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Elmtaryd Agunnaryd fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sydney FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
