Spectators: 7734 (Terracing: 5802, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 154) Rodrigo Quintan made the kick off and thus started the match. LTA FC's Arsenio Maiorga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakov Stähr in the 6th minute of play. After 8 minutes of play, Sydney FC's Jakov Stähr made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arsenio Maiorga was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th minute Per Schäfer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kai Petermann made a great header on Sydney FC's corner, it was just that LTA FC's Arsenio Maiorga managed to reach the ball for a save. After 21 played minutes LTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Rattín. Arsenio Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakov Stähr in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute Erich Egger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Delmar Sol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LTA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sydney FC the free kick. Rasmus Gölz made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Ivan Bernad sent off a good shot on target. Jakov Stähr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, Sydney FC's Kai Petermann tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Sydney FC's Hippolyt Esche was substituted for Harald Inger. The wind increased when Jakov Stähr made the kick off in the second half. Rasmus Gölz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Quintan in the 53rd minute of play. After 58 minutes, Henrik Reifer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sydney FC and the LTA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Henrik Reifer hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ivan Bernad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rasmus Gölz having to make a save. After 81 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Henrik Reifer. Rasmus Gölz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Oton in the 83rd minute of play.
