Sílvio Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Bertol in the 2nd minute of play. Davi Mello might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shao Jing Yuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davi Mello ran back to his position shaking his head. 9 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliott Pépin came free, but Sílvio Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Penha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliott Pépin in the 18th minute. When Valdir Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Zemantauskas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdir Ortiz couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Luís Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shao Jing Yuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Penha came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Fe's Venancio Bertol. But to his dismay, Venancio Bertol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Zemantauskas FC's Sílvio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Bertol in the 31st minute of play. After 31 played minutes Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Montes. If Remo Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner led to Zemantauskas FC's Luís Fernandes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davi Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Luís Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's Luís Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shao Jing Yuan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, Serginho Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zemantauskas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Fe the free kick. After a rather tough play, Zemantauskas FC's Serginho Simões got a free kick in the 56th minute. Shao Jing Yuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davi Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Serginho Simões hit a great ball. Davi Mello scored 1-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shao Jing Yuan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Davi Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Shao Jing Yuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Santa Fe booed when Zemantauskas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Miguel Negri hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the game, Godofredo Rik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sílvio Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Davi Mello in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Shao Jing Yuan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sílvio Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Rik, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Miguel Negri went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Miguel Negri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santa Fe's Shao Jing Yuan did a great save. With a little luck, Santa Fe's Shao Jing Yuan got control of the ball when Remo Varela tried to sneak it across the goal line.
