Blas Nastasio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Ferrer having to interfere. Blas Nastasio's late challenge caught a Yala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blas Nastasio helped the player get up and apologised. Yala's Astor Galeno was substituted for Aquilino Inautzi. Octavio Ferrer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Nastasio in the 34th minute of play. Lázaro Baumar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Nastasio in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Ferrer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute Carolo Bizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Tuste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
