Spectators: 7792 (Terracing: 5845, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guntademaro Goyenechea kicked off to start the match. Gustav Tidéksson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Mauro Roano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute Guntademaro Goyenechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Ferrer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yala's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teofan Bozadzhiyski was slow to take the kick. During this time General Velásquez's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Anselmo Johans almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yala's Octavio Ferrer did a great save. Rolf Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Abechuco in the 14th minute of the match. Gustav Tidéksson scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octavio Ferrer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolf Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Sustrai in the 21st minute of play. Octavio Ferrer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A well done corner resulted in Gustav Tidéksson drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind Yala's goalkeeper. After a rather tough play, General Velásquez's Luiz Fernando Cardoso got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Carolo Bizen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolf Holmgren skillfully saved the ball. Guntademaro Goyenechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Octavio Ferrer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. General Velásquez's Rolf Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Bizen in the 37th minute of play. Octavio Ferrer made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Apolo Irigoyen sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niki Bundev during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Niki Bundev hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, General Velásquez's Apolo Irigoyen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Ferrer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Octavio Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Tidéksson in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Sustrai was the one to do the kick off. Octavio Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 56th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Carolo Bizen. Carolo Bizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Jurdan. After having played for 66 minutes, Guntademaro Goyenechea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. General Velásquez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guntademaro Goyenechea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jorge Vicente Squella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Guntademaro Goyenechea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Ferrer was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Yala's Octavio Ferrer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Vicente Squella in the 75th minute of play. In the 81st minute Carolo Bizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorge Vicente Squella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Carolo Bizen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolf Holmgren, 2-2. When Yala's Carolo Bizen in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye General Velásquez's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Yala's zone, Guntademaro Goyenechea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Ferrer came out of the goal and Guntademaro Goyenechea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The General Velásquez supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Yala's performance. The match ended with a win for Yala.
