Leonides Santecilla was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 23 played minutes General Velásquez got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Irigoyen. In the 24th minute of the match Lilian Thuram sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolf Holmgren skillfully saved the ball. Anselmo Johans hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Lilian Thuram managed to get in a good position for a shot. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lilian Thuram was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolf Holmgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. General Velásquez's Anselmo Johans quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Archibaldo Arria, made in the 30th minute of the game. Gustav Tidéksson hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Lilian Thuram shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolf Holmgren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Nicholas Ochavarri got control of the ball when Apolo Irigoyen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicholas Ochavarri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 44th minute of play. General Velásquez's Rolf Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Romeu in the 47th minute of play.
