Spectators: 7749 (Terracing: 5813, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mich Batshuayi took the kick off in the first half of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Esiquio came free, but Octavio Ferrer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olympique Fribourg's Bruno Steiner got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niki Bundev hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Octavio Ferrer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Esiquio in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Mich Batshuayi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Ferrer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yala's Octavio Ferrer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Esiquio in the 27th minute of play. Orlando Sustrai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tristan Arioli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Mich Batshuayi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yala's Octavio Ferrer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mateo Esiquio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavio Ferrer having to make a save. When Yala's Carolo Bizen in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olympique Fribourg's goalie prevented a goal. Mateo Esiquio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Octavio Ferrer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Yavuz Acabay made the kick off in the second half. Tristan Arioli came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Yala's Niki Bundev. But to his dismay, Niki Bundev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Octavio Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Steiner in the 56th minute of the match. Yavuz Acabay struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Tristan Arioli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yala. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Carolo Bizen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yala's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Bizen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tristan Arioli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patryk Banaszak hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Olympique Fribourg's Mich Batshuayi came free and shot a quick shot against goal 76 minutes in the game, fortunately Octavio Ferrer had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Mich Batshuayi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Octavio Ferrer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mich Batshuayi got free with Octavio Ferrer in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tristan Arioli came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Yala's Carolo Bizen. But to his dismay, Carolo Bizen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gwendal Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Mauro Roano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavio Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Steiner in the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Olympique Fribourg's Mateo Esiquio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavio Ferrer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Olympique Fribourg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Yala.
