After a rather tough play, AFC United's Teofilo Pardelas got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Liu Yong Yong came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC United's Teofilo Pardelas. But to his dismay, Teofilo Pardelas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Archibaldo Ahumada kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AFC United's goalie and right to Zhu Bin Le. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AFC United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Frasco Esquivel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordache Opincaru in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of OROTINENSE booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemanja Vidic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacek Walczak shot from long distance in the 26th minute, but Frasco Esquivel was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Jacek Walczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frasco Esquivel having to interfere. In the 37th minute of the match, Leopoldo Araya got a very nice opportunity to score, but Frasco Esquivel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Teofilo Pardelas hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a little luck, AFC United's Frasco Esquivel got control of the ball when Iordache Opincaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. 1-1 became the score in the 45th minute when Iordache Opincaru elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Law to make the kick off. A collision led to AFC United getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Denis Law hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Law came free, but Liu Yong Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Eleder Borrellino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacek Walczak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frasco Esquivel having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, Denis Law dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Liu Yong Yong, 1-2. Liu Yong Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balesio Leiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. OROTINENSE's Ruhi Uluöz was substituted for Juraj Múdry. OROTINENSE's Songurhan Mete was substituted for Leopoldo Araya. In the 80th match minute, OROTINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Opincaru to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Iordache Opincaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frasco Esquivel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Irwin during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, AFC United's Denis Irwin got a free kick in the 89th minute. 95 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Ortiz came free, but Liu Yong Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
