FC CSKA's Oleg Ubinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by CJ Kane in the 12th minute of play. With 15 minutes on the clock, Emanuil Belevski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 17 minutes into the game, La vecchia signora's Sven-Arne Kruuse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oleg Ubinov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The corner ended in Han Solo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC CSKA's Oleg Ubinov did a great save. If Eldad Te Vrede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oleg Ubinov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from CJ Kane in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute La vecchia signora were awarded a corner. Sven-Arne Kruuse went to the cornerflag to take it. Oleg Ubinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Han Solo in the 30th minute of play. La vecchia signora's CJ Kane was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oleg Ubinov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 35 played minutes La vecchia signora got a freekick which was hit by Wang Hui Yi. Doychin Chervenkov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomas Ravelli. La vecchia signora's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Han Solo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Oleg Ubinov made a huge save. Oleg Ubinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Kane, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yancho Dzhongarski made a kick off. A collision led to La vecchia signora getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Edvard Enström hit a great ball. In the 63rd match minute, FC CSKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doychin Chervenkov to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Eldad Te Vrede had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oleg Ubinov. FC CSKA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eldad Te Vrede was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Yancho Dzhongarski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Thomas Ravelli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yancho Dzhongarskis short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Thomas Ravelli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thomas Ravelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yancho Dzhongarski's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yancho Dzhongarski in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Ravelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, La vecchia signora's Thomas Ravelli got control of the ball when Yancho Dzhongarski tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Wang Hui Yi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes FC CSKA got a freekick which was hit by Dimitar Berbatov. Yancho Dzhongarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Thomas Ravelli made a huge save. After 87 minutes of play, La vecchia signora's Han Solo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oleg Ubinov was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the match, Emanuel Gama notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of FC CSKA's Oleg Ubinov. Oleg Ubinov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that La vecchia signora were the better team. La vecchia signora's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
