The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of La vecchia signora:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Annedal FC:s goal. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Annedal FC. Åke Gunnarsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomas Ravelli. 0-1. With a little luck, Annedal FC's Jerry Felin got control of the ball when Han Solo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jerry Felin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eldad Te Vrede in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Torsten Ahlén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Eldad Te Vrede came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the La vecchia signora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eldad Te Vrede couldn't finish the play. When Annedal FC's Per-Olof Söderqwist in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of La vecchia signora booed when Annedal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Ånger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Edvard Enström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Felin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when CJ Kane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Eldad Te Vrede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the match, Annedal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Han Solo came free, but Jerry Felin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CJ Kane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Felin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from CJ Kane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La vecchia signora's Thomas Ravelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torsten Ahlén in the 64th minute of play. The La vecchia signora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 93 minutes into the game, CJ Kane cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Jerry Felin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the La vecchia signora players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
