Marcus Hagström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Rank 1:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Academia Militar MZ:s goal. Marcus Hagström went to the wrong direction when Gilmar Torres was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Academia Militar MZ's Diamantino Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Vesterberg in the 21st minute of play. Rank 1's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fredric Åhman in the 22nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia Militar MZ's Bernd Goldsche slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcus Hagström. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. In the 32nd minute of the match, Bernd Goldsche tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcus Hagström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marcus Hagström had great luck who in the 36thth minute grab hold of the ball when Bernd Goldsche from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Bernd Goldsche did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Marcus Hagström 38 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conny Vesterberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabiano Antonini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rank 1's Fredric Åhman got a free kick in the 54th minute. Fabiano Antonini charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabiano Antonini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcus Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernd Goldsche in the 56th minute of play. Mustafa Anıl Kayansel's late challenge caught a Academia Militar MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mustafa Anıl Kayansel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rank 1 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Mustafa Anıl Kayansel hit a great ball. After 64 minutes of play, Rank 1's Conny Vesterberg made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diamantino Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! When André Luís Leite fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Militar MZ's protests and gave André Luís Leite a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Academia Militar MZ got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Leite. Pedrão Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedrão Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diamantino Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Antonini in the 69th minute of play. Dick Lindgren's late challenge caught a Academia Militar MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dick Lindgren helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Academia Militar MZ booed when Rank 1 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Lindgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Conny Vesterberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Fabiano Antonini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Diamantino Magalhães. The goal made the score 3-2. After a rather tough play, Academia Militar MZ's Hélder Custódio got a free kick in the 84th minute. With his leg Diamantino Magalhães managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Rank 1's Fabiano Antonini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
