Diamantino Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giga Hertz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Torres in the 27th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernd Goldsche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilmar Torress short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Giga Hertz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Diamantino Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th match minute, Academia Militar MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Academia Militar MZ's Hélder Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hélder Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
