After some careless play in the 27 de Mayo defense, Ilie Nasta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raí Bertassi. The 27 de Mayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raí Bertassi should have stopped the shot. Emilian Răduța scored 1-5 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raí Bertassi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Emilian Răduța made a precise shot to the right of Raí Bertassi. 27 de Mayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dedê de Senna was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Răduța. George Ţiţeica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Ilie Nasta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match Carlos Eduardo Rossi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Buzincu skillfully saved the ball. 27 de Mayo's Raí Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Răduța in the 67th minute of play. The ball had pretty good speed, but Raí Bertassi firmly grabbed it by the left post. 27 de Mayo's Raí Bertassi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save 27 de Mayo from getting a goal against them. FC Buzău's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
