Octavian Bogdănescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ursino Silvestre in the 11th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Ursino Silvestre put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu. Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Barrenta SC from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Yuri Alberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augustin Nechifor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nestor Carioca. Barrenta SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Octavian Bogdănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Lima in the 25th minute of the match. FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ursino Silvestre in the 26th minute of play. With his leg Nestor Carioca managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when FC Steaua Pildesti's Costin Iorgu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Traian Roşu scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Carioca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33rd play minutes Joel Sabóia shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Octavian Bogdănescu and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 36th minute, Costin Iorgu made a precise shot to the right of Nestor Carioca. Barrenta SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 40th minute Luiz Fábio Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Bogdănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute FC Steaua Pildesti were awarded a corner. Augustin Nechifor went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Valer Uncheşelu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Costin Iorgu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costin Iorgu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Octavian Bogdănescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ursino Silvestre. Nestor Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Roşu in the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu got control of the ball when Ursino Silvestre tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Steaua Pildesti defense, Joel Sabóia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octavian Bogdănescu should have stopped the shot. Octavian Bogdănescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ursino Silvestre in the 92nd minute. Costin Iorgu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barrenta SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
