Spectators: 7659 (Terracing: 5746, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jaroslaw Furtok kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Nichifor Vergulescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Witalis Bazan, 1-0. Witalis Bazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Nechifor in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Răzvan Petrescu hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Jaroslaw Furtok had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu. FC Steaua Pildesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaroslaw Furtok was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. KS Ruch Chorzów's Witalis Bazan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Nechifor in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, KS Ruch Chorzów's Witalis Bazan got control of the ball when Costin Iorgu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Octavian Bogdănescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobald Dyczkowski in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Wit Dziewedik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavian Bogdănescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 29 minutes into the match, Teobald Dyczkowski notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu. Octavian Bogdănescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, KS Ruch Chorzów's Gilbert Kissel got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute of the match FC Steaua Pildesti got a corner. KS Ruch Chorzów's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valer Cobâlcescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Augustin Nechifor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KS Ruch Chorzów's Witalis Bazan did a great save. Teobald Dyczkowski hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Witalis Bazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Iorgu in the 40th minute of play. Wit Dziewedik scored 1-4 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half KS Ruch Chorzów were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Costin Iorgu to make the kick off. Octavian Bogdănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaroslaw Marchlewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 57 minutes of play, KS Ruch Chorzów's Gilbert Kissel made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavian Bogdănescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Traian Roşu hit a great ball. Octavian Bogdănescu made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Wit Dziewedik sent off a good shot on target. Jaroslaw Marchlewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to KS Ruch Chorzów getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jaroslaw Marchlewicz hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Costin Iorgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Witalis Bazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Iorgu in the 69th minute of play forced KS Ruch Chorzów's goalkeeper Witalis Bazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Răzvan Petrescu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Răzvan Petrescu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Steaua Pildesti protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Răzvan Petrescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 70th minute, one of FC Steaua Pildesti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Steaua Pildesti. 75 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Furtok came free, but Octavian Bogdănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Witalis Bazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Iorgu in the 90th minute of play. Virgil Dragalina charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgil Dragalina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Virgil Dragalina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Steaua Pildesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Wit Dziewedik scored to the left of an out of position Octavian Bogdănescu, making the score, 1-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KS Ruch Chorzów had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
