The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Valer Uncheşelu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu got control of the ball when Dieguinho Leal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Augustin Nechifor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cícero Toscano. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augustin Nechifor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dieguinho Leal in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 19 minutes into the game, Dieguinho Leal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Octavian Bogdănescu. Dieguinho Leal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Traian Roşu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cícero Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Roşu in the 27th minute of play. Octavian Bogdănescu came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Dieguinho Leal. But to his dismay, Dieguinho Leal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Frédson Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frédson Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Nechifor in the 45th minute of play forced SE Tijolo 6 Furos's goalkeeper Cícero Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavian Bogdănescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elias Sarmento went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Costin Iorgu made a kick off. In the 54th minute Zé Roberto Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Bogdănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cícero Toscano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Traian Roşu in the 57th minute. With a little luck, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Cícero Toscano got control of the ball when Traian Roşu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolas Arósio took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavian Bogdănescu. Octavian Bogdănescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Régis Vides hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Dieguinho Leal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Bogdănescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. After having played for 81 minutes, Traian Roşu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Steaua Pildesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Traian Roşu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cícero Toscano made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Costin Iorgu sent off a good shot on target. Augustin Nechifor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Leal came free, but Octavian Bogdănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SE Tijolo 6 Furos were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Steaua Pildesti for much of the match.
