An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Poniewaz in the 8th minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Octavian Bogdănescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The KS Ruch Chorzów fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when KS Ruch Chorzów's Rafal Poniewaz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gilbert Kissel kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Traian Roşu scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boleslaw Chlapowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobald Dyczkowski in the 29th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Augustin Nechifor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Steaua Pildesti and the KS Ruch Chorzów players grew even worse after the yellow card. Augustin Nechifor hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Costin Iorgu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boleslaw Chlapowski came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Steaua Pildesti's Costin Iorgu. But to his dismay, Costin Iorgu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

Octavian Bogdănescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafal Poniewaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nichifor Vergulescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Boleslaw Chlapowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to KS Ruch Chorzów getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Cezary Duda hit a great ball. Traian Roşu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 56th playminute. Boleslaw Chlapowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Nechifor in the 61st minute of play. Teobald Dyczkowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Bogdănescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Michal Miazga charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michal Miazga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michal Miazga was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Michal Miazga kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Rafal Poniewaz sped through FC Steaua Pildesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when KS Ruch Chorzów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Tarasek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilbert Kissel hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes, FC Steaua Pildesti's Valer Cobâlcescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Boleslaw Chlapowski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Steaua Pildesti reached it. Boleslaw Chlapowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Iorgu in the 88th minute of play. Teobald Dyczkowski hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. KS Ruch Chorzów's Rafal Poniewaz took a good shot, in the 96th minute, which hit the crossbar above Octavian Bogdănescu's head, and flew over the goal. FC Steaua Pildesti's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by KS Ruch Chorzów.
