Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Hugo Aristizábal to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orville Jacobson couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Simon Justice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandez Villaelrriego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Toby Herget took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kimetz Gauna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toby Herget was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Victor Hugo Aristizábal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
